Analogue Shore: the classic that never fades

Robust, handy, intuitive and long-lasting

If you are looking for a robust and reliable hand-held measuring instrument for on-site Shore hardness testing (on a construction site, the production floor, etc.), the analogue version is for you.

We’ve been making this model for decades, following a proven formula. Its uniqueness is in the high-quality components, which ensure long life: we have customers who have been using theirs constantly for 20 years now, without ever changing them!

These factors are what make our portable hardness tester a product of excellence:

  • ROBUST ,thanks to its fully mechanical operation, which even allows to perform Shore hardness tests under extreme conditions. Are you not convinced? Check it out, we "tested" it at the highest hut in Europe: link
  • EASE OF HANDLINGas the ergonomics and the compact sizes of this portable hardness tester (height: 125 mm; weight: 250 g) make it particularly suitable for on-site testing, without precluding its use in the laboratory, thanks to its compatibility with all our bench top stands;
  • INTUITIVENESS ,allowing to perform Shore hardness tests with ease. Simply apply pressure through the hardness tester to the sample to be tested and the pointer will indicate the hardness reading on the high visibility analogue dial. A peak needle (optional) can store the maximum value detected.

Electronic Shore: not a simple hardness tester

If you are interested in on-site Shore hardness testing (on a construction site, the production floor, etc.), that can export and print statistics, the electronic version is for you.

Are you curious to find out more? Here are some details:

A UNIVERSAL, VERSATILE, ERGONOMIC AND COMFORTABLE INSTRUMENT

Our portable electronic hardness tester ensures maximum accuracy and versatility in your Shore hardness tests in the lab, with a true reading resolution of 0.1 units.

Versatility at your disposal

The Electronic Shore hardness tester is at its best in the lab when used with our bench top stands. However, thanks to its integrated battery, it is still a portable hardness tester: it can be quickly removed at any time from the stand and used as a stand-alone portable machine to complete tests directly on the production floor or wherever required.

And it can perform all the required Shore hardness tests: the control console can be combined with up to four different measuring probes with automatic recognition, helping to save a lot of money. Because we designed it to be truly universal.

Control console separate from the measuring probe

Our portable electronic hardness tester has been designed to make the most of its ergonomics. This means that we can offer you maximum comfort in handling and operating the probe.

All under control

Handy numerical keypad, dot matrix LCD display with high character visibility in any lighting condition, user-friendly interface: the control console is your main ally when performing Shore hardness tests. It makes sure that you always have all your data at your fingertips. And within your field of view.

High comfort during your work

Why still use pen and paper to note down the values of the measurements taken?

Our portable electronic Shore hardness tester doesn’t just measure the data: it saves it, processes it and sends it wherever you want. Our instrument has been designed for the more demanding user.

  • Integrated RS232 data output for immediate connection to printers or computers;
  • Three different measurement modes (peak, continuous, with timer);
  • Status of the measured hardness value compared with the set tolerance;
  • Ability to customize and store up to 10 statistical sessions and up to 3500 results;
  • Display of statistics, automatic averages and standard deviations in real time.

Our portable analogue Shore hardness tester is available for all Shore hardness tests on all polymer, elastomer, rubber and gel-like materials (such as plastics, rubber, medical goods, papers and sponges): A, B, C, D, DO, E, AO, O, OO, OOO and OOO-S in accordance with the ISO 48-4 e ASTM D2240, ISO 868 and ISO 21509 international reference standards.
