Shore portable hardness tester

Analogue, electronic and digital: the versatility of Shore hardness

3 different solutions designed to meet specific needs: our portable Shore hardness testers are suitable for measuring all polymers, elastomers, rubbers and gel-like materials (such as plastics, rubber, medical items, papers and sponges).

Thanks to special applications, they can also measure extremely small samples, hollow samples or samples with curved surfaces, such as O-rings, tyres, rubber coated rollers, etc.

All our products are suitable for every Shore hardness scale: A, AM, B, C, D, DO, E, AO, O, OO, OOO e OOO-S in accordance with the ISO 48-4 and ASTM D2240, ISO 868 and ISO 21509 international reference standards.

ANALOGUE PORTABLE HARDNESS TESTER

  • Mechanical operation
  • 0.5 Shore points analogue resolution
  • Reproducibility, repeatability and economy

ELECTRONIC PORTABLE HARDNESS TESTER

  • Electronic operation with RS232 data connectivity and real 0.1 shore resolution
  • Statistical exports
  • 4 probes can be coupled to the same console

CX DIGITAL PORTABLE HARDNESS TESTER

  • Digital operation with wireless data connectivity and true 0.1 shore resolution
  • Advanced statistic exports
  • Management using the AXIOSTAT app

Analogue Shore Hardness Tester

Robust, easy to handle and intuitive

The analogue Shore hardness tester features mechanical operation: within a few seconds, the tungsten carbide indenter detects the hardness value, which can be read on the high visibility analogue gauge with a resolution of 0.5 Shore points.

Suitable for all polymers, elastomers, rubbers and gel-like materials (such as plastics, rubber, medical items, paper and sponges), even with complex geometries.

When to choose the analogue version?

  • If you want to carry out immediate on-site Shore hardness tests without having to rely on electrical sources
  • If you are not interested in exporting, storing or printing data for statistical analysis.
  • If you are looking for a robust and handy instrument that can be used even in extreme conditions. Are you not convinced? Watch the video: we “tested” it at the highest hut in Europe.
  • Suitable for A, B, C, D, DO, E, AO, O, OO, OOO e OOO-S Shore hardness scales

To find out all the technical details

All our portable Shore hardness testers can be used alone or combined with benchtop stands, without the need for adapters or special configurations.

To ensure better stability, ergonomics and force control throughout the test cycle, for any chosen scale: Shore A, B, C, D, DO, E, AO, O, OO, OOO, AM.

In accordance with the reference standards: ISO 48-4, ASTM D2240, ISO 868 and ISO 21509.

    Electronic Shore hardness tester

The Electronic Shore hardness tester features electronic operation: the tungsten carbide indenter inside the probe only takes a few seconds to detect the hardness value, which can be read on the console display with true resolution of 0.1 Shore points.

Suitable for all polymers, elastomers, rubbers and gel-like materials (such as plastics, rubber, medical items, paper and sponges), even with complex geometries

When to choose the electronic version?

  • To create and store customisable statistical calculations for export and printing
  • To measure multiple Shore hardness scales while maintaining the same electronic console: multiple hardness probes can be installed on the same console.
  • To set specific tolerances for each test cycle, possible using 3 different measurement modes: peak, continuous and with timer.
  • Suitable for A, B, C, D, DO, E, AO, O, OO, OOO e OOO-S Shore hardness scales

    CX Digital Shore hardness tester

The CX Shore hardness tester has been designed to outperform the traditional Shore portable hardness testers available on the market by taking advantage of specific technology and ensuring data connectivity perfected to the smallest detail.

Ideal for measuring polymers, elastomers, rubbers and gel-like materials (such as plastics, rubber, medical items, papers and sponges) with minimum thickness starting from 6 mm, in full compliance with the ISO 48-4, ASTM D2240, ISO 868 and ISO 21509 reference standards.

When to choose the digital CX version?

  • To manage the whole test cycle wherever you want: thanks to the AXIOSTAT app – which can be installed on a PC, tablet or smartphone -, configuring limits, tolerances and standard deviations has never been easier.
  • To create and store customisable statistical value calculations for export and printing
  • To run the Shore hardness test cycle in 3 different measurement modes – peak, continuous and with timer -, which can be controlled on the large 60X45mm touch display
  • Possible Shore hardness scales A, AM, B, C, D, DO, O, E, M
